Director, screenwriter and producer, Kaveh Sajjadi Hosseini, was born in 1977 in Tehran. He entered the world of cinema as a child actor in his father’s films. His father died in a sad accident at the scene of one of his films leaving the young Kaveh in a state of hatred towards cinema. But as time passed by, the love of cinema found its way back, and he studied theatre and
cinema in university.
He is recognized in Persian cinema as an assistant director especially with his collaboration in Asghar Farhadi’s The
Salesman (2016).
His short films were highly acclaimed in Iranian festivals and won a couple of awards. He directed a couple of TV movies and made feature films such as Night Outdoor (2013), The Buffalo (2015) and Headless (2020).
